Should the Queen be given an everlasting title?

Whether you are a royalist or not the passing of Queen Elizabeth II last week seems to have affected us all in one way or another.

When the news broke on the afternoon of 8th September it felt like the country had momentarily lost its anchor. The one constant in all of our lives had gone and for a time, albeit brief, the country was left bereft and unsure of how to proceed.

Some believe that the almost unconscious unwavering presence of Her Majesty in all our lives for just over seventy years should perhaps be marked in some way and so after the pomp and pageantry of Monday’s funeral subside it has been suggested we reflect and give The Queen an appropriate title that best describes her personality and also her time serving the country.

Suggestions such as Elizabeth the Faithful, Elizabeth the Magnificent, Elizabeth the Great, Elizabeth the Enduring, Elizabeth the Steady, or Elizabeth the Constant have been made.

Do you think this is a good idea? Which title would you choose or perhaps you could think of something else?
