How much would you be happy to pay for a hearing aid?

These days, advancements in technology have spread to almost every aspect of our lives – this includes hearing aids.

They can range from a basic digital aid to the most sophisticated currently available with features such as Bluetooth connectivity, responsive background noise reduction and being able to make and receive calls directly to your hearing aid.

The price of such products is usually determined by the type and number of features, not the severity of your hearing loss so the type of hearing aid to suit you (and its price tag) would depend on your lifestyle.

Some are specifically designed for complex sound profiles such as large groups, concerts or outdoor activity and with it carry a more significant cost than other models designed for more basic lifestyle situations such as watching TV and one to one conversations. So if the outdoors are your second home or you love a bustling farmers market, a more advanced and intuitive hearing aid may be more suitable to significantly improve the clarity of each sound in these environments.

With this in mind, what would be considered to be ‘good value’ in terms of hearing aid tech? In particular, how much would you be happy paying for a pair of hearing aids regardless of the severity of hearing loss?
