This week we are giving away  The High Definition Halogen Table light (Heavyweight),  in our Prize Draw courtesy of Serious Readers, worth £349.99

About the Prize from Serious Readers:

  • • Our most serious light for the most serious readers (our top of the range light)
  • • It is our best light range which is 10 times brighter than a 60w bulb.
  • • Uses Daylight Wavelength TechnologyTM
  • • Really good for people who have eye conditions as there is a dimmer function to adjust the lighting to their needs.
  • • Not only great for reading but doing hobbies such as artwork, needlework, model making, etc.
  • • Helps your eyes relax so you can concentrate for longer with less eyestrain, letting your light do all the hard work

About the company

  • • The Serious Readers family already stretched to sixty-three countries around the world and includes members of the Royal Family, MPs, judges, professors, actors and many other well-read minds.
  • • Have supplied lights to RNLI lifeboats, Space Ships, Guggenheim Museum, Sewing Machine companies
  • • When our Founder’s mum couldn’t find a great reading light in the shops we had a go ourselves.
  • • Your eyes come to need much better light to pick up detail like small print as time goes by. Our job is to help you overcome this common problem which gets even more pronounced with advancing age.
  • • Lights are recommended by over 350 independent opticians
  • • Lights are built in Great Britain

If you would like to be in with a chance of winning  The High Definition Halogen Table light (Heavyweight), in our Prize Draw worth £349.99, ENTER BELOW:

This would be fantastic! Believe it or not I have to knit wearing a head torch (not a very good look!) as the 'big light' gives hubby headache if I have it on when he's watching TV, and I can't knit with just normal lamps on. Either my knitting suffers, or he gets a bad head! This would return peace to our evenings! 😀

This would be an advantage to me as my age is an obstacle the lamp is so attractive fitting anyone's decor, giving a wonderful beam onto a specialised surface.
I have had cataracts removed from both eyes this year, also have macular degeneration and Glaucoma and have to nightly use drops to keep it at bay, this lamp would be so helpful to write my Christmas cards and letters to many friends, sewing and reading and my laptop is a boon I can keep in touch with numerous areas especially Silver Surfers so nice to have a pad for we oldies, good luck to all that have entered

Good morning all now lets have a bit less of this trying to appeal to the judges better nature to help with your chance of winning!!
As you will hopefully get to know me you will realise im only joking with you all and best of luck to one and all..

This comments section says you can chat about anything so here goes, with regards to our generation what do you think about how we are treated in Britain today? like do you think we should be getting a higher state pension? I recall many moons ago we were told that when we become full members of the E.U. our older folk will get the same as in Germany/France/Spain and so on , yet after all this while we are still at the bottom or very close to it and receive a lot.lot less, I mean they say in one breathe we will be better off being in but when push comes to shove we are nowhere in their thinking. I am cruising toward a number 67 may be younger or not than some silversurfers on here but I strongly believe that after all this generation has gone through then it's only fair they or we are treated with the respect we deserve and should not feel as if we were a burden. Well I will sign off now and I think you might now be able to have a stab as to what you think of me cant wait to read some, so bye have a nice day everyone and don't forget to look in on some one not as fortunate as we may be...........

As reader since I was very young, this would be idea to help light my books, especially with today's power saver lights which are rubbish for reading. I end up clipping a tiny reading light to my books but it does take away much of the enjoyment because of the messing about and trying to get just the right amount of light, in just the right position - need I go on.

This would be for my wife who is an avid reader and puzzle solver. Not getting any younger with eyesight not what it was this lamp, which would be out of our price range, would be a boon.

This would be great as I read loads of books on my kindle, I have to sit directly under a light to read, I read a lot in bed too, so would be a great lamp to have
