Being Sixty

My version of being 60 years old. This was before I passed this age I hasten to add.

BEING SIXTY

Now that you are 60, things begin to change

You may begin to mutter and start acting very strange

Your glowing locks begin to grey, just one and then a few

The next to come is middle age spread you gain a stone or two!!

But you don’t need to worry, for you are not alone

There’s many people just like you, they’re in OLD PEOPLES HOMES!!

I am about to retire so will have more time on my hands. I enjoy the 2 border terriers we have and walking them. I love to write poems and have written several for friends and also used to write a leaving poem for members of staff that left work.
