Distance

They say distance makes the heart grow fonder … this touching poem written by Terry Forster exemplifies this beautifully.

Distance

Three thousand miles apart are we,
Yet in my heart I know, I feel,
That you are here, beside me now,
With Love, with warmth, with tears

Of all the women in this world,
I fell in Love with you,
I even chose you as my bride,
That day just filled me full of pride.
An honor, thought I, at that time,
Yet little did I know,
Our Love would grow and grow and grow,
Until my heart just overflowed.

For more than fifty years my Love,
I’ve been faithful, honest and true,
For who could substitute the Love,
I have for only you.
