It’s my time (Epitaph )

It’s my time (Epitaph)

I didn’t want to go today
But they came and took me anyway
And if you’d like a memory
Please don’t plant a living tree

The dogs will come and cock their legs
And make the grass brown round the edge
Poke a finger in my head
Please make sure I’m really dead

Shake my arms and check my eyes
I may jumps up and shout “SURPRISE”
If I am really down and out
Have a party laugh and shout

Kick your legs up have a spree
Coz you know that’s where I’d be
When they come to lay me down
Don’t paint me like a circus clown

It’s far to late for paint of war
I never wanted it before
Miss me if you think you must
When the man says dust to dust

I don’t want you all to cry
I’ve been there done it, had my try
