Memories

Memories

A memory can bring many a smile
Of days gone by, after a long while
Of childhood times that we had
Life was tough but not at all bad

All the years have gone by so very fast
Memories will forever in our hearts last
Seems like only yesterday, so fresh in the mind
Would we sometimes like to go back, rewind?

That first day at school, first job, first kiss
Times we cried, times that were bliss
No one can take away the dances we had
To songs so happy, to others so very sad

Although people have left us, long now gone
Memories of moments shared, live on and on
When around us sometimes there is so much doom
Think of happy, joyful things to lift the gloom
