Missing

Missing

Something has gone very wrong
I haven’t seen him for so long
I seek him out, I hope and pray
I’ll get a glimpse of him today

I search the papers wanting news
I am so sad, I have the blues
Feeling cold and so depressed
Affects the way in which I’m dressed

No bright colours, no short skirts
I miss him so, it really hurts
Let me see you before the summer’s done
Please answer me….. where are you sun!?

I have always written poetry but when my husband died suddenly I used it as a kind of therapy. I don’t usually share these unless I feel they will help someone in distress. The ones I share are mostly humorous intended to bring a smile in what I feel can be a very lonely world..

Oh! I just loved your poem Silversurferg especially as I wasn’t expecting the ending! lol

We differently need more of this, especially the humour....more power to your elbow.

I lost my soulmate three yrs ago and altho’ I’m coping quite well (I think) I still have bad days.

Have you heard Kate Tempest? A young poem on Jo Whitley show this week (Radio Two) Her words were so moving. Reduced me to tears in a nice way 🙂
