Mum’s Thank you

Mum’s Thank you

When the chips were down
Oh, how you rallied around.
Such kindness to so many –
Sons, Daughters, Sisters even Uncle Kenny.

Ordering the shopping for Mum,
With basics, but secretly popping in a bun!
For the many weeks ahead
We stayed in our houses before going to bed.

Gardens became a ‘magical’ place to sit,
And watch the flowers and the odd Blue Tit.
Until we were told we could go out
And visit you all again and get about.

So, its a thank-you from us all,
For shielding us behind a safe wall.
