Never have I

Never have I felt so anxious about the day ahead
How I wish I could curl up and stay snuggled in my bed
But it’s time to face the task before me, not knowing its pathway
Yet to find the answers that I need in bed I cannot stay

Each new day brings new learnings of things we sometimes face
With a small measure of courage, we bravely step the pace
We cannot see the future take each day as it may unfold
Take me by the hand we can edge forward trying to be bold

When the answers to our questions unfold and come to light
We will tackle each and every step we are ready to face the fight
It won’t be that easy but we have each other along the way
Many of us struggle with difficult situations in our day

And when the storm blows our way directly at our feet
We step along the path taking each day without defeat
It may not be an easy road yet what follows we will face
Together we are stronger our love and courage we’ll embrace
