Remembrance Day

Remembrance Day

Medals, memories and memorials
A buglers last post
Silence, as we remember
Those who gave the most

The poppies and the people
The prayers and poignant pause
As the nation still remembers
Their sacrifices for the cause

They are not here to thank them
This debt will never be repaid
So, we’ll just stand and quietly consider
The part these brave souls played

On the 11th of November
At this solemn time of year
Lest We Forget, it’s down to them
That all of us are here
