So hard to keep happy

So hard to keep happy.

It is hard to be happy,
When life is strained
With this cost of living problems.
So many lives has changed.

People with large families,
Do they heat, or eat?
Bills are larger, their wages are not,
Their standard of living, cannot be maintained.

Many old people, have no help,
worked all of their lives, now in debt.
Have no spare money, to pay their bills.
Do not like to ask, they get upset.

We all need help. But what can we do?
So many food banks are opening their doors.
Helping people not to go without,
while trying to keep them from being poor.

We are all in a storm, let us be strong.
As we hold our heads up high.
Do not be afraid, this time will pass.
As soon as we see those blue skies.
