The Fly

I open the back door and in flies a fly
Like a jet fighter it comes from the sky
Oh no it’s come to invade me and my house
At least a fly is not as big as a mouse

Where is the fly swat or the fly spray?
I’ll make sure its gone by the end of today
Where is it it is hiding from me
I dearly hoping it is not in my cup of tea

It may be in the kitchen or maybe the lounge
Either place it is not making much sound
A bit of fly stalking is needed I see
This fly is not getting the better of me

Around the house I go in a flap
May be what I need is a fly trap
No it is in that window so I do see
I’ve got you now I mutter in glee

But no off like a jet fighter again it does fly
Back out of the back door and up in the sky
It has left here in a hurry to live another day
So I can get back to the guitar that I try to play
