United

United

He passed the chalice to his bride
Apprehension churned inside
The years of waiting nearly done
This time they would unite as one

The families deemed it long ago
Their parents chose that they should know
No choice for them as who to wed
The bloodline determined it instead

But he was lucky in their choice
A beauty with a charming voice
Child bearing hips meant lots of sons
To stand with him when war begun

The match sent tremors through the land
It meant they had the upper hand
The power now was at their feet
The linage from them both complete
