First Post for Thornton-Cleveleys
I moved here about 14 months ago and before lockdown had a lovely, busy social life. Coffee mornings, library events, craft groups, U3A groups. All stopped because of lockdown. Have got to know a few people but did not get contact details from everyone because it would be a bit strange to just meet someone and ask for the mobile phone number, email address, etc. Ah well. Luckily I like my own company. How are other people doing?

My name is Joanne Mathews and I live on Pheasant Wood Drive in Thornton Cleveleys. I am married and my husband suffers with Rheumatoid Arthritis in fingers, wrists and knees. I only know a few people in Thornton Cleveleys because I wasn't brought up here - I am Mancunian. My parents retired to Thornton and when they passed, I inherited their house. And so here I am!
I was a teacher and my husband worked in the computer industry. I have recently adopted a cocker spaniel who had been mistreated and he suffers with separation anxiety. I therefore don't get out much in the mornings but my afternoons are usually free.
I don't know how to send my phone number without it being available to everyone!
