Whether you’re into astrology or think it’s a bit of fun, you might discover that you have more in common with your star sign than you thought.

We take a look at some of the most common characteristics associated with each sign in the zodiac.

Aries – March 21 to April 19

People born under Aries are natural born leaders.

Their curiosity, enthusiasm and energy make them adventurous and pioneering, professionally and personally. They are naturally confident and inspire other people. They can sometimes be arrogant and domineering, and some see them as daredevils.

Taurus – April 20 to May 20

The Taurus born are level-headed folk.

They are known for their practicality and need for security, at home, in love and at work. They are very reliable, and are particularly good with money. They can be stubborn, and although they are not easily roused they can have fierce tempers.

Gemini – May 21 to June 21

People born under Gemini are contradictory and clever.

Gemini’s are charming and persuasive, and particularly good communicators. They are intelligent and curious in life and work, and get bored if they are not intellectually stimulated. Their contradictory nature can make them unreliable.

Cancer – June 22 to July 22

Those whose sign is Cancer are often real homebodies.

They are happiest when at home with a big family, and are fiercely loyal to friends and lovers. They are particularly good at remembering things, and love telling stories. They are prone to hoarding, however, and can be moody and emotional.

Leo – July 23 to August 22

Leos love being admired and in charge.

Leos are particularly relish being in the limelight, and suit the performing arts. They are courageous and enjoy leading the rest of the pack. Sometimes, though, the Leo can be hard-headed, and their need to lead makes them bossy and overprotective.

Virgo – August 23 to September 22

Virgos are the nurturing and attentive people of the zodiac.

The Virgo loves to help people in need. They are great with routines, have analytical minds and are good at problem solving. Their attention to detail can sometimes make them too fussy when it comes to finding friends, and they can be perfectionists.

Libra – September 23 to October 23

The Libran tends to strive for balance.

Librans have refined taste in culture, and are often artists, writers and intellectuals. They love a peaceful life and their charming, easy-going manner makes them good at conflict resolution. However, they can be very indecisive, and don’t like getting their hands dirty.

Scorpio – October 24 to November 20

The most passionate star sign is Scorpio.

Scorpios are known for their intense approach to life. They rarely get bored and are often productive. They are dynamic, mysterious types who attract friends with their magnetic personalities. Their passion means they can become obsessed, jealous, and often hold grudges.

Sagittarius – November 21 to December 22

Sagittarians are positive souls who think ahead.

The Sagittarian is passionate about social justice, and loves to be with people. They enjoy travelling and sports, as well as sharing fun stories about their adventures.  They are very honest, sometimes brutally so, and not tactful.

Capricorn – December 23 to January 20

Capricorns are stable and hard to faze.

Capricorns are sensible, hard-working, and practical. Once they grow to trust people Capricorns make loyal friends and committed partners. Unfortunately, Capricorns can be pessimistic due to a lack of confidence, and aggressive when pursuing their ambitions.

Aquarius – January 21 to February 21

The eccentrics of the zodiac are the Aquarians.

These are true individuals who don’t like conformity. They love being the life and soul of the party, and accept other people as they are. They are good at thinking differently and great at innovation. However, they can be rebellious, impatient, and unpredictable.

Pisces – February 22 to March 20

Pisceans are the most sensitive sign.

Often regarded as fair, kind and empathetic, Pisceans are popular, enjoy making friends, and love to help others. Their sensitivity makes them favour spirituality, poetry and art. However they are idealistic and easily hurt by others, so can be too secretive.
