Should there be a specified age to retake your practical driving test?I hope the Duke is ok. I surrendered my car keys last year! Whilst I am a youngster at 65, because of illness and 2 falls and consequent injuries I couldn't drive for 3 years. When I was eventually allowed to drive again I realised the roads had been taken over in part by a totally NEW breed of driver, 1 who doesn't care at all about another living soul and who is going to get where they are going no matter what the cost! I also discovered that there is now also with certain models of vehicle that are sold for SOLE USE OF THE ROAD! None of these drivers were elderly!!! I do think the older drivers are given bad publicity, and I do think they should be tested far more frequently, but I would get into a 97 yr olds car in preference to getting into a 4x4 owners who wants the road to themselves!ViewDate:

The Garden of RemembranceYour poem is just beautiful. I am so sorry for your loss. Please keep writing your poetry as it is so beautifully descriptive and enables the reader to get lost among the words. Thank you.ViewDate:

What are your favourite travel destinations and why?Although not widely travelled, I have been to a few places and 2 that are at the top of my list for revisits are Austria and Madeira. I spent holidays 4 years running back in the 70's in the Tyrol and would love to go back to see if it has changed. St Anton was my favourite by far it was so pretty. a Such friendly people, and The Tyrol was jaw droppingly beautiful in parts. Madeira we went to this year but we were only there for a day in Funchal as we were on our Honeymoon Cruise but we have both said we cannot wait to go back. As we sailed away from the port it was a vision of terracotta and white in the sunshine, something I will never forget.ViewDate:

What's your favourite ship and why?Although I haven't been on her in a while Star Princess is my favourite ship as she was the first I ever cruised on. I have to say Anthem of The Seas certainly would be a ship I would choose to cruise on, we docked next to her in Tenerife and she is a beautiful ship. Roll on the next cruise!ViewDate:

Looking after a grandchildHello Windyweather, How did your wedding go? I hope it was everything you expected it to be and more. Have you gone on Honeymoon? We had a beautiful day despite the awful weather, we had all our family and friends there and it was just lovely. Everyone was so happy and relaxed and chatty. We went off 2 days later on a wonderful cruise to The Canary Islands, Madeira and Portugal, and we could not have wished for a lovelier holiday. I do hope you have had as wonderful time as we have had. I look forward to hearing about it hopefully soon. Bye for now Cathy. 8-) :-)ViewDate:

Looking after a grandchildHi Windyweather, Good luck with your shopping this weekend, you are just embarking on a journey I have just done :-). I get married on 29th May to a wonderful man who like your partner thinks I am hard where my daughter is concerned! He has 4 children and is extremely soft with all of them. They are all grown up now but still come to Bank of Dad!!! which annoys me immensely but for the sake of peace and quiet I now ignore it. I think you have done the right thing allowing your partner to be on his own for the first babysitting Saturday , I expect he will thoroughly enjoy the experience. I do hope things work out for you. Good Luck with the Wedding, when is it? :-)ViewDate:

Looking after a grandchildI can see why you are cross Windyweather, it is not nice when decisions are made without consulted:-), but try and look at it from a positive side, you get precious time with a grandchild, and at least your partners daughter is trying to earn her own money! I have a granddaughter and I am main carer when she is not at school as my daughter works part time 5 days a week. I can only say to you it builds the most wonderful bond with grandchildren. My granddaughter fits in with what we want to do for the most part and we all get along very well. Try not to let this come between you as this sort of thing can fester and then be blown out of all proportion. Look at it positively you might really enjoy it and get to do things you normally wouldn't do. Good Luck.ViewDate:

Which party do you trust to manage your pensioner benefits over the next 5 years?None of them, the parties are all wrong when it comes to our pensions! Why when we have already paid TAX on it as were saving it, Should we be forced to pay Tax on it again when we decide to . None of the parties can come up with a solution to this. IT IS THEFT BY THE GOVERNMENT IN EVERY SENSE OF THE WORD!!!!!!!!!!ViewDate:
