February

What does February bring?
A path from winter into spring
Shorter nights and longer days
Rain and mud and sunny haze
Crocus, snowdrop, daffodil
Remind us life continues still

Sunsets burning red like fire
Lift our spirits even higher
Though snow and ice may make us doubt
And eastern winds still bear a clout
If we are brave and see it through
Our dreams of spring will soon come true.
