Days go past and you’re not here
You don’t seem to talk to me
I feel at times that you don’t care
That I’m a waste of space.

I tried my best to be the best
But it was never good enough
You took from me and never gave
Without a second glance.

One day you will be sorry
When I am no longer here
Will you feel the guilt of it
Weigh you down in life.

No one is perfect in this life
I know mistakes are made
Words are said in anger
Words are said to hurt.

But through it all and the time that’s passed
I long to see your face.
I want to smile and let you know
