Remember Me

Remember Me

Remember me when you walk beside the sea
At our favourite spots where we loved to be
Remember when you see the waves dash upon the shore
While sea gulls cry overhead above the oceans roar

Collect the shells and special stones like we used to do
Remembering the pleasure they gave to me and you
Remember when the wind picks up the salty scent
Don’t  worry my dear why or where it is I went

Release my remains to dance upon the tide
Wish me well my darling ones in whose heart I will abide
Gaze upon the horizon and imagine a far off shore
Where my last sail is set for and I’ll be home once more
