As we will celebrate Thanksgiving once again
I’ve taken a walk down memory lane
When the hustle and bustle of family life
flew by like a dream
Through graduations convocations
and  birthdays often with a theme
Decorating our home to suit the season
To create an inviting ambiance was the reason
Enjoying lots of family holiday dinners with great company
Traditional dishes with conversations full of gaiety
How quickly life passes in the blink of an eye
As retirees we miss the years that have gone by
Cherishing memories and making more when we can
Happy Thanksgiving everyone whatever you plan
