What’s yours is mine and mine I own
Armed forces advance and missiles flown
Strategic targets bombed and buildings burned
The dogs of war asleep have returned

Russian President Putin addressed his nation
Announcing a ‘special military operation’
Against Ukraine without intervention
Interference by other nations will be to their degradation

Turkey’s been requested by Ukraine to assist them in the Russian invasion
By closing the Black Sea maritime border they share with the marauding nation
Other NATO nations have been implored for assistance
To quell Putin’s further land grab insistence

While the world woke up to this diabolical atrocity
Realising its dire consequences could lead to WW 3
Vladimir Putin’s untethered influence on his nation
His unbridled attack on Ukraine without provocation

Makes us ask is history repeating itself with this Russian masquerade
A resounding Never Again and the vow we made
