PictoScanner is an easy way to bring your memories back to life.

Do you have black & white negatives, slides, or colour negatives lying around in the house gathering dust?

PictoScanner is a simple, smart, user-friendly and inexpensive way to scan your old film negatives and share them with family and friends or add them to your photo library.

Simple to use, just take a photo on your smartphone and the PictoScanner app does the rest.

How does it work?

  • Just download the application free of charge on Apple Store or Google Play depending on your smartphone software.
  • To scan a photo: place your film negative in the slider, open the app, shoot the negative. The scanned photo opens on your smartphone screen as a positive. You can edit it as you wish.
  • Share your photos on the social networks (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc.), add it to your photo gallery, or send it to friends and family by email or SMS.

PictoScanner is manufactured in a high-grade cardboard box and is easy to set up. It uses an LED  backlight and the eye of your camera to get the scanning job done.

Just what I've needed for a long time. But come on, almost £40 for a cardboard box and some technology. I'd be expecting a plastic box or even a steel pressing. I look forward to reading of a mark 2 version being introduced.
