Mince pies are a staple of the festive period and a favourite with all ages.
Today we’re sharing three alternative mince pie recipes, including one recipe with lower sugar.
Pink Lady Apple and Mincemeat Tart
This recipe offers a lighter alternative to traditional mince pies, these simple tarts combine melt in the mouth pastry filled with fresh apples and mincemeat to give a really fresh twist to a Christmas classic. If you are short of time, these little beauties can be rustled up very quickly and still have the homemade appeal.
Mince Pies with Orange Pastry
This is a classic recipe that you’ll love. The rich orange pastry, subtle and fragrantly alluring, makes these little mince pies so special. Home-made Christmas mincemeat makes these the perfect mince pie; the only downside is they are so moreish, you may end up making several batches!
