Eating vegetarian is easier than you think – cutting out meat or cutting back just a few days a week can have a positive impact on everything from the environment to your grocery bill and your digestive tract.

Whatever your reasons, you don’t have to compromise on taste to eat delicious meals that are healthy for you too.

Here’s a few of our favourite recipes on Silversurfers. How many will you try?

Radish & Butternut Pilaf with Almonds and Greek Yogurt (pictured above)

The wonderfully fragrant smell of the onions and spices cooking at the beginning of the recipe will really get you in the mood for this delicious pilaf. Balsamic Glazed Shallot, Dolcelatte and Asparagus Tart


Simple, delicious and easy to prepare, this shallot and asparagus tart is perfect for an easy mid-week meal. The sweet and sourness of the shallots blend beautifully with the cheese and asparagus for a melt-in-the-mouth supper everyone will love. Find the recipe here.

Watercress and Mushroom Sliders


Sliders take the traditional hamburger and give them a sophisticated update; the mushroom is flavourful while the creamy blue cheese adds some melted goodness to the equation. Find the recipe here.

Butternut Squash Soup with Rosemary
