Looking for friends to chat with. I live alone the past few months have been lonely but now we are able to go out life is getting back to normal.

I have been on here for just over 2 months and much as I have enjoyed the banter, exchange of thoughts, posting music links, showcase photos, having fun etc....I find that I would like to extend this to include finding some new correspondents. I aim to find pen pals of the 'pen to paper' variety. I enjoy writing and receiving a letter through the post would be a bonus! It is said to be a 'dying art'....I think half the problem is finding correspondents in the first place.
I am on the Pen Pals post and find people like to tell you that they "like writing letters"... and then they don't follow through...which is nice to know but not helpful or productive.
I am 56, live in Dorset have a number of interests which include books (reading and collecting) writing, being in the garden (growing vegetables and flora), music (seeing live bands) walking, have 2 mischievous cats and I ride pillion.
Lockdown got me writing for the first time in a long time, I find I have written a few sentences with pen and ink for the first time in an age and it made me realise that it is 'penmanship' that is dying out.
I don't think I am lonely but I do think you can never have too many friends or too many subjects to discuss or generally have too many laughs and I so enjoy the company of others.
I am missing the company of my friends but think we still have a way to go before we once again recognise a semblance of normality.
If writing appeals to you. Contact me either here or private chat.
Thanks for reading,
Hope to hear from you soon!
