31 days travelling in India - looking for a companion to travel with

I have been planning a trip to india, but have been let down by the person who was coming with me. I'm 67, married and have been to india 6 times , I always go budget, using a lonely planet guide. I have an interesting itinerary planned which will involve some long (36 hours ) and longish (15-18 hours ) train journeys and longish bus journeys. I'm thinking of flying to delhi and going straight to agra for the Taj Mahal, on to Mahabalipuram for a nice beach and the shore temples. On to Shravanabelagola for a 15 metre statue at a Jain Temple. On to Allepy for the backwaters and then up to Mumbai for a few days. then onto see the statue of Unity. (587 feet tall.) then to Lonar to see a large meteor crater, about a mile across, then up to Amritsar for the Golden Temple and go to the closing of the border ceremony at Wageh, and then meet a friend I met in 2008 who is a colonel in the Indian army. And then back to Agra and on to Delhi for return flight. I live in Bristol. UK. I'm thinking with flights and travel, hotels, all in I suppose, it should cost about £1200. That's assuming hotel rooms at £5 pn.. everybody says that they always wanted to go to India.......well, heres your chance.

Hello, I will arrive at Heathrow July 3rd for a 6 week sojourn. Aside from a week in Cornwall with friends I have no set plans. I am considering a mix of a coach tour', Med Cruise, maybe an E bike tour. A week or so in Spain or Greece or Italy or...?? :) Any ladies interested in meeting up for a travel chat? :) Chris

Good day, travellers. I need a travel companion for this holiday already booked; my current companion has cancelled due to back problems. Do you like the look of the itinerary? I am male, age 72, healthy, NS, with a young outlook. Wife not as interested in travel as I am. Slightly prefer female as I grew up with 3 sisters, but also happy with straight male companion. We can meet to ensure no mega-incompatibility. Let me know if you need more information; I really don't fancy doing this trip alone. Thanks.

Hello out there! Just bought a motorhome and would like to meet someone to share my travels with, some in the UK but mainly the rest of Europe. I am a keen cyclist, so a bike will be on board, and it would probably suit someone not in work as I will aim to be gone for a number of weeks at a time, best wishes, Graham.

Hi Everyone. I have just joined today (27/02/19), so this is new for me. I am 59, young minded (non-smoker) and live in Bedfordshire. I am happily married, but my wife travels abroad a lot with work, so this leaves me with time on my hands. I would like to travel, but would prefer a travel buddy/partner to do this with. There are a couple of very contrasting trips that I am really interested in. 1. A long weekend train adventure from London/Paris/St Moritz and then the Bernina express through the Swiss Alps ending in Milan before flying back to the UK. 2. 8-10-day Vietnam tour, Hanoi to Ho Chi Min City I am also looking at other UK/European City breaks or long-haul travel, but of course, open to ideas? If anyone is interested in getting together to discuss some travel ideas, feel free to get in touch. Funds are not unlimited, but I am happy to look at budget, more upmarket travel ideas, or anywhere in between.

I've just joined so thought I would say hello.. and I wish a warm welcome to the other newbies. I'm looking for a traveling companion and new friends as it appears I'm the only single person I know in my circle of all married or tied up friends! And they now forget I'm here.... So I've bitten the bullet let's see what Happens! Things can only get better in the social circle stakes. I love the sea and the country way of life.. Don't spend enough time in either but I'm always outdoors.. Just not in the right location! Looking forward to hearing from any other single surfers who are tired of Going it Alone!

I'm a bright, young 61 year old man, very interested in history, art and travelling and I have some travel experience. I live in Kansas, USA but plan to be in the UK from 17 May, 2019, through 28 May, 2019, and would love to find someone that enjoys adventure and travelling in Europe. I think it would be great to meet and get to know each other while I am in the UK and then plan future trips to other parts of Europe if we like each other. I will be staying in Portsmouth and London on this trip. Please respond if you are interested. I think the joy of sharing the adventure is much more meaningful than going alone.

Hi, I'm a young 61-year-old lady and live in South East Scotland but originally from Edinburgh. I used to love my holidays abroad especially to Greece and it's beautiful islands but now find myself with nobody to go with and don't know if I would have the confidence to do it by myself. I live halfway between Edinburgh and Newcastle airports. I hope I have posted this correctly as I'm finding this forum more difficult than most to navigate.
