Some where warm winter 2016/2017

I am a retired fitness instructor and am ready to find travel companions for cruising or spa retreats. I am a happy person, kids all grown up, and I will consider any where warm for the winter or beyond with either a male or female.

First Trans-Atlantic crossing - on the Queen Mary 2. Help!

Hello, Am doing my first (and doubtless last) Trans-Atlantic crossing next summer. Would be very grateful for any tips on keeping on-board costs down as it's taking the bulk of my life's savings to do it :/ Heyho! I can't take it with me and I must be at my daughter's wedding :) Cabin booked Deck 5, port side, midships. Excited and scared! Any wise advice gratefully received :)

No single supplement?

Thinking of taking my first ever cruise but would like to avoid the dreaded single supplement. Could any experienced traveller recommend a cruise line which caters for single traveller? Thanks!

I'm looking for a female to cabin share on P&O Britannia sailing from Southampton for 8 nights.

Price is around £735 for an inside. I am a fun loving widowed 56 year old. I like to dance, socialise and explore. Cruising alone seems to be double the price plus I would like the company. It's short notice and I've not booked yet as hoping to find someone to share with.

Looking for thoughts if you have taken both. I've cruised with Royal Carribean, but not river cruises. Looking for advice.

How can an SC (single cabin) on P&O still involve a single supplement?

Hi everyone, I like many others, have just found this fantastic site for exchanging friendships, chit chat etc. I enjoy cruising and when can't find a cruising buddy, try to find the right price SC. Even when you find a ship with dedicated single cabins, the cruise line still think you are going to eat and drink your way through the supplement they add - why????? There are some great offers coming through on as Late Deals/Last Minute but the 'deal' disappears when you say; solo!! Anyone want to share a cabin in the future on 'mates rates' - that is equal shares. H

Is there anyone who is in the same situation as myself who loves cruising but doesn't want to pay the excessive single suppliment? Would love to hear from anyone who's interested.

What's your favourite ship and why?

As a travel writer I get invited on lots of cruise ships and am often asked what is my favourite. Right now it would have to be Anthem of the Seas, in part because of clever use of technology. For example, no check-in desks. You get checked in by staff with hand-held computer tablets inside the cruise terminal. We made it from car park to cabin in twelve minutes! In the inside cabins the blank wall is replace by a huge screen linked to a TV camera on the outside of the ship so you get the same view as someone with a balcony cabin. They have even superimposed a balcony rail. Add to that 18 places to eat and great entertainment venues and I think it takes a lot of beating. So, what's your favourite ship and why?
