Hello there. I am a old guy who enjoys cooking. My speciality is international poor people food. The same peasant dish in one country can be an upscale foreign delight in another. I would like to share and swap these cheap but healthy delights with others.

Hello Silversurfers - does anyone have any experience with Diaspo (www.diaspo.co.uk)? It was advertised to me on Facebook as teaching people to cook, which I thought I could share some of my family recipes, my secret ingredient I put in my banana loaf! Would love to hear anyone's thoughts?

Which is your most used recipe book and who is the author? Why do you like it so much … which page is the most used/grubby? :-)

I have to say I am a bit like you! I find it much quicker to google a recipe as my computer is always switched on, and my book shelf is so full I can’t easily access the recipes I want. Also most celebrity chefs have websites so I know I can find a recipe that I may have seen on TV. I do have one fave book though .. probably my oldest Delia Smith ‘bible’ that I always refer to for basic recipes like scones, pancakes and crumble! :-)
