I often have difficulty sleeping. Silly thoughts going round.
Last night, having been lucky enough to see (and hear) a skylark recently, I found myself debating, at about 4 am, whether I might in fact prefer Vaughan Williams' fabulous Lark Ascending to the bird's actual (quite monotonous) song. Was this blasphemous?
I love Music and Nature. Nature was just getting the upper hand when I had a breakthrough moment: I DIDN'T HAVE TO CHOOSE! I felt a wave of relief and nodded off.
Does anyone have the dreaded orchestra in the head? I have had Tinnitus for over five years, it started in one ear, with a noise that was faint--ish, then it added the other ear ,where the sounds vary from a screech to a constant 24/7 orchestra I know that working in a noisy environment,, damage to the head or neck, is allegedly the cause, but I have lived in the country for most of my life.and this explanation is not acceptable Of course there is no cure, and we all have to cope with it, SLEEP is a huge problem, or , getting off to sleep ... I had to resort to a low dose sleeping tablet, which does put me to sleep. Anyone got any suggestions about getting to sleep. The noise is particularly loud at the moment - Has anyone tried Acupuncture ??
So many elders to whom I speak suffer from sleep issues. I just can't seem to fall asleep, and sometimes don't drift off until 4 a.m.
I have tried every possible remedy -- herbal, OTC, prescription. Medical marijuana does help, but it's very expensive.
I often wish I could get a chat community together of older folks who are up at 3 a.m. I know there are a lot of us.
I haven't seen a doctor but feel fairly sure I'm suffering from sciatica.
The pain goes from my backside right down my left leg.
If I sit or lie down for long it's really painful when I get up.
Has anyone got any tips please?
Hello everyone - Does anyone have any tips for regular waking during the night.
I usually wake a lot and often for a couple of hours. With a full-time job this is really hard to manage - thank you in advance
