Watch this postHello everyone, my name is Thomas and I am a retired 68 year old living in NC. I am just trying to meet new people who love holding conversations about anything. In my younger days, I was in the NAVY, was a volunteer firefighter, and for a good majority of my life was involved in the construction industry. Unfortunately, I had to retire due to my health. I have developed Parkinson's Disease as well as other illnesses so I am mostly homebound and can't get out often.
My son who is taking care of me is trying to teach me how to use this site and is helping me type this out since my spelling is...terrible. I am a very direct person and have strong opinions on things...I'm from NY, it just how we are.

I know how tough Parkinsons can be, not sure how long ago you received a diagnoses? I looked after my mother for 4 years, she had stage 4 Parkinsons plus Vascular Dementia. I did my best to preserve her dignity, she passed away just after lock down. PD is generally different for everybody ie 'your PD' its good you have your son to support you. Keep moving....dance, use that voice and sing even if you make a horrible sound!!
