Dreaming of Surrey

I am living in Portugal at the moment, but am thinking of moving to Surrey, where my family have just relocated to.
I am nervous of giving up what I know for the unknown. Also not sure about giving up a life in the sun for a life in the cold rainy UK.
Lots to think about.

I have just joined today.
I live in Surrey. I lived in New Malden for most of my life but then moved to Guildford last year due to rising housing costs in New Malden.
Surrey is beautiful! Guildford is more rural than where I was before and yes, it can be cool and rainy here but it's also very green and verdant. The countryside is gorgeous, Guildford has bags of history and it's not too far from London. There are also lots of lovely villages in Surrey and some good shopping centres.
