Hiya....I live in SE Cornwall and love beach fishing, at night, for bass. All my fish are always returned. It is so relaxing under the stars and listening to the surf.

A few years ago my boss thought it would e a good idea to take us all fishing for the day on his boat. We cast off from Bridlington harbour at 7am and motored out to sea for about half a mile till Captain Bountiful ordered the anchor to be dropped and fishing to commence,
Within minutes half of our number went down with sea sickness (I had previously worked on cruise ships, so had an advantage) I dropped my line into the briny and was immediately rewarded with a 'bite' which I reeled in. It was a very respectable whiting. I re - baited and dropped the gear back in the water, and what do yo know, another fish!
No-one else seemed to be having any luck, but every time I dropped my hook in the water a suicidal fish leapt onto my hook!
This continued all day.,..I was, by this time, sick of pulling fish out of the sea, and Captain Boss was livid because he caught nothing but seaweed!
My tally, for the day was 47 fish, with 35 big enough to keep, I didn't have to buy fish for weeks.
Needless to say, the boss didn't invite me fishing ever again.
