Hello to you all

I've also just joined - well that may not be absolutely true as I think I joined about 10 years ago when I was nearing 60 but things change and I'm older now, children are more settled so need new directions and new friends who have similar lives and interests to mine. To learn from each other.


I seem to resist the idea that I'm getting old! Even though my knee tells me I am every day. I just want to do as much as I can for as long as I can and try and ignore the knee. Walking, gardening and tennis are what I do mainly but would like to travel a little more.


My friends think I'm brave because I sometimes travel on my own to places. I don't mind at all - I find it exciting apart from eating alone in restaurants in the evenings.


Looking forward to hearing about people on this site and what their lives are like.

Hi Marj65, Im a lady in my 70s recently widowed thought i would come on this site to find friends or people to chat to of similer age to myself.. I do agree with your friends when they told you that you are very brave to travel on your own.I have met up with other ladies like yourself who went abroad by themselves this was several years ago when i went on holiday to Spain with my husband .Im not the type of person myself who would go abroad alone. im lucky to have a lovely caring daughter as well as two sons..I may decide to go on holiday with her maybe later this year . I have some hobbies that keep me occupied im into family history iv found that i have some facinating ancestors .I find it very interesting to find out about what their lives were like and what they did for a living .Iv even found out where they lived and iv visited many of these places.I even found that im related to the Kings and Queens of England and France. My other hobby is Sun Sign Astrology im a Virgo do you know what sign you are ? Well hope to hear from you
