House plant pests

We have a potted hibiscus which is overrun with banded thrips and don't know how to rid the plant of them. Any suggestions please?

Hi, Hi live in Southern Spain where Hibiscus grows everywhere but we also have this problem and I find that a weak solution of Fairy Liquid works well for me., sometimes I use a fine spray other times I froth up the fairy liquid solution and put the bubbles on the infected areas. Hope this works for you.

Use a weak solution of any of the usual sprays to be found in garden centres for dealing with whitefly; spray the best place to do it is by an open kitchen window to (a) avoid inhaling the spray and (b) let the little 'nasties' fall onto the draining board where they can be easily swilled away. This works every time and you'll only have to do it once or twice per year.
