New to forum and Silversurfers - Hello!

Getting to grips with the site. Lots to look at, lots of info. I've just dropped down to part time work but don't feel quite ready for retirement. Will see how I feel come summertime when I reach 65. Anyone out there still working?

Thank you all for the comments - I wish I had won the lottery so being canny is how it will be once I take the plunge. I'll be picking up ideas from here though

Hi Dylena
I am from the West Coast and new to the site. I have a bit of pushing buttons to do yet to find my way around the site. I retired almost 4 years ago and to be honest I don't know where I found the time to work. I volunteer a few hours each week and have become involved in other Community activities all for pleasure. Between that and the "ladies who lunch" life is busy.

Adjustment " is the cornerstone , I think, a bit of volunteering and hobbies, also keeping fit if possible.you probably need to plan your spending as well unless you have just won £33 million!I am 6 months in to retirement and definately still adjusting.

HI. I am new too. Decided to join in as I live on my own and think it is a good idea to have contact with other people. I retired several years ago. Like everything, I think there are advantages and disadvantages to retirement and does need a certain amount of adjustment to your lifestyle. Am hoping I will find some new ideas and interests.

I'm new to the sight too! I retired for the second time two years ago and find I have too much time on my hands. I would love to have more contact with people even if it's means on the internet. Giving it a try.
