Are there any ladies who were born in the 50s after 6th April 1951 who would like to know more about WASPI and would like to join the campaign for justice?

Hi Silversurfers, for ladies born in 1950's who've been subject to the state pension age increase from 60 to 65/66 why don't you join our group WASPI (check it out on Google) we are trying to get the government to think again and make transitional payments to women affected so suddenly. We are in the throes of taking legal action so it is a real possibility that we might be compensated but the more of us there are the more likely this will happen. 1000's of women are already taking action be one of them.

I am one of the women born in the 1950's who has had their pension put back to 66 years instead of 60. I am another 1950s born Women who should have received my state pension last year when I turned 60. Reading some of the comments is so saddening. Instead of being happily retired we are all suffering at the hands of our own government who are thoughtless & cruel and liars. Where did they come up with all of this ? I am in the WASPI ex pat group. I'm so proud of the organizers and the Women who are fighting for our rights.

My wife was born in January 1954 which means she has been made to work over 5 years longer than expected to draw state pension. And since the first increase an extra two years. Many of her peers born slightly earlier have to wait considerably less time. She knows that a rise in age is needed but the second rise is unfair on women like her. There is an organisation Women against state pension increase WASPI. if you agree with the points please consider looking on the website and support fairness

My first post to introduce myself - I live in the countryside and enjoy gardening especially the days when the sun is shining and I can enjoy a well earned glass of chilled wine looking at the blooms. My husband does the boring jobs (in my view) of cutting the grass and growing the vegetables whilst I plant and weed the flower beds. But I must say it does involve an awful lot of weeding I have always worked in admin and finance and eventually qualified as an accountant about 10 years ago. I enjoy the work and have a great balance because I only work part-time so have plenty of spare time. Three years ago we had a wake-up call and decided to make the most of our "golden years". We went on a fabulous trip to Australia which was somewhere I'd always wanted to visit. Then a six week tour of Scotland two years ago, visiting beautiful Northumberland, on the way and a similar tour of Ireland last year. Looking forward to joining in with the group chatter
