Our problem is different in detail but much the same in its effect. It might be worth my commenting.

My wife hasn't driven for about two years because of knee and hip operations. Prior to that she had a clean licence for 48 years. When she's walking normally again we both intend to get her driving once more. I suggested a lesson or two from a school of motoring but she doesn't think it's necessary. I am aware that a common problem with older woman drivers is that the husband does all the driving and the wife gets no practice - until he dies first! The older woman driver is the second most accident-prone category after young drivers and more so than older men.

Opinions? Am I fussing?

Just in case anyone thinks I'm putting myself forward as a perfect husband I have it in mind that it would be nice to go out and be the one who can have a drink or three 🙂

I contacted Bsm and as they are part of AA now they arranged it for me over telephone, text me details followed by all information I required in next post.
My husband took the assessment and refreshing advice from AA instructor following week.
The instructor was excellent test took 2 hours and I felt confident on his assessment.
