Extreme travel

Hello! My name is Erica, and while I'm not a silver surfer as yet, I definitely hope to be one day if my current travel adventures are anything to go by! Both my mother (mid 60s) and I are keen adventure travellers, and I also write a travel blog in my spare time. I work in PR and I am actually looking for over 65s who live life to the fullest on holiday and take part in 'extreme', adventurous, thrill-seeking activities for a campaign I'm working on for a travel client. This campaign will challenge the stereotype of the older generation on holiday. We're looking for individuals (or couples) to form case studies for the campaign. They will need to be prepared to be interviewed in person, with video content sitting onsite. A fee is available for time. If this sounds like you or someone you know on this forum, please comment so I can get in touch! If not, it's been great reading all the comments and adventures being shared on this site - it gives me something to look forward to! Thanks, Erica

Hello Erica

I don’t know if you would be interested in hearing some of my adventures. I am a 74 year old female, currently on my way (side trip to Egypt) to backpack for two months in India, so far on my own. Last year I similarly spent two and half months in Vietnam, Laos and Thailand. Until November 2017 I crewed on a sailing yacht from the Canaries to Australia for 4 years. In my 60s I skydived in NZ, hangglided in Rio, scuba dived in Papua New Guinea (where I lived), spent three weeks on local steamers going down the Amazon and much, much more. I shall be back in the UK at the end of March if you want to contact me there or email me at [email protected]. I consider I live life very much to the full and hope to do so for the rest of my life. Gill
