Finding life difficult

Hi I was widowed last year and still trying to come to terms with being on my own I was married at 18 and stayed together for 64 years.

I do have hobbies and go to a local writers group. I write tongue in the cheek poetry, and try to find humour in everyday situations.

I have grown up children and grandchildren but they have their own lives so I sometimes find it hard putting on a brave face.

Well, that's all I can think of to put about me.

Hi JCB, I hear you.
Im a widow too and although still working im due to retire soon and wonder how to fill my days. Its so difficult spending your life with someone and then be alone trying to navigate life especially the way things have been the last 2 years or so.
Sometime we are forgotten as someone other than mum, dad, wife etc and now is the time to find that person again- so hard..
Great that you keep writing, poetry sounds good- do you enjoy walking or holidays? be nice to chat
Jackie
