Handy tips

1. To avoid cutting yourself when chopping vegetables, get your nearest and dearest to hold the veg while you chop.

2. If you have an annoying cough, take a load of laxatives, you will then be too scared to cough!

3. The next time you are entertaining, try using Chappie as a filling for your vol au vents. Your guests will never tell the difference, but even if they do, they will be too embarrassed to complain.

4. Fancy a few drinks in the pub but don't have any money? No problem, head to the bar and then stage a fainting attack, when other customers rally round you, tell them 'get me a brandy.' When you have supped it, thank them for their assistance and say that you had best get going. Then pop into the next pub and repeat...

Thank's for these handy tips, however:

1 I don't follow this as I get him to do all preparation and cooking, its easier.

2 I'm at that age where coughing is dangerous anyway, a laxative wouldn't make me more scared!

3 I never entertain but the idea is good.

4 I don't drink alcohol, shouting for a lemonade doesn't seem the same.

Thanks for bringing a smile to my face.
