Hello Don, I have just joined the forum and am finding my way round. I live in the UK. I am 68, although I can't really believe I am that old! I care for my husband who has Dementia. I am lonely for intelligent and interesting company and I thought Silver Surfers might help with this. Like you I have lots of interests. I am currently in Wales enjoying the wonderful summer weather. Yesterday I walked miles up into the beautifulhills and then down to the beach for an evening swim. Bliss!

Hi Violaemerald

Sound like you had a wonderful day, the best of both worlds, walking in the hills and then on the beach for a swim. I’m sure in this hot spell the beach would be lovely in the evening.

Early last Tuesday morning I went for a swim. I was swimming out from the breach when a Bottlenosed Dolphin breached a few yards ahead of me. It was amazing. I could see every detail of the colours on it's side, a mottled grey, brown and amber and I could clearly see it's eye. It was like slow motion and so beautiful as it curved up out of the water ahead of me. It looked huge because I was in the water, but interestingly it was not all all frightening. I feel very privileged to have had this experience.
