Holidays with dog

Hi there; I lost my husband in December 2022 and do not want to holiday on my own. Is there anyone who would like a friend to accompany me on a uk holiday

There are friendly groups that run rallies in many areas, and very cheap too. I am member of Mustang caravanners based in Lincolnshire, and Retired caravanners, who have groups around uk. Both very helpful.
Also there are groups for people who travel alone. They all welcome newcomers, and have very low priced membership.

Hi Craftygrannie, I hope that you can find a travel buddy on this site, I will
presume that you are looking for a female to travel with you, I am a 75 year
old man who loves to travel, but mostly abroad, so let me know how you
get on, good luck, Terry.

Hi Terry48; no luck so far! I'm not bothered whether male or female. I would love to travel in a campervan but don't know how confident I would be in driving. My holidays would need to be UK based as I have a dog (Bonnie) who I could not put into kennels. I'll let you know if I make any progress.

Hi craftygrannie, good to hear from you after so long, I am sorry to hear
that you have had no responses from your post, but someone may get
in touch.
I am a bit like you, in that respect, as I would not do any driving in the UK
or anywhere, but I like the idea of having the freedom to go where you
want to go, and stop anywhere that takes your fancy, my sister and her
husband are buying a campervan in December and going travelling around the country with their 2 little dogs, after she was told she has a
terminal cancer in her lungs and kidneys, so I said go for it as there is
plenty of beautiful places around this country without the hassle of going
abroad. So fingers crossed for you, keep positive, all best wishes, Terry.
