I signed on for the first time tonight!

Hi - I hope to make some friends here. I am excited at the possibility. I just want to chat with friends and have a bit of social life even if it is in an online format!

Tell me about yourself, what you like, where you like go, what you like to eat - tell me your favorite color if it's all you can think of - I don't care! Let's chat!

Hello,
Hope you meet some nice online friends.

I'm a 60+ retired mother of one daughter who is 42 and I have 4 grandchildren, 2 girl and 2 boys. Sadly both grandsons have passed away, one aged a day old and the other at 17 years old. My granddaughters are 22 and 15.

I am a dog nut and have a Japanese Akita who rules the roost. I live in the south east of England with my partner of 26 years . I've been Vegetarian for over 40 years and I love peanut butter, cheese and chocolate, not necessarily together but I could be tempted!

Hi Linda,

I am in the US - North Carolina. I am in my 50's and have two daughter, aged 25 and 23. The oldest was just recently married, no grandchildren. I am so sorry to hear of your grandsons, both losses had to be very heartbreaking.

While I have no grandchildren of my own, my sister is unavailable to her grandchild and he has kind of become my 'grandchild' in actions if not in blood. He is 9 months old and his name is Oliver, we call him Ollie. He's adorable! He spent the day with me today and it was so much fun. He is precious, even when he's teething!

thank you for responding to my post!

up haha, hope that you get more people on board, as its nice to have
a mixture of interests that people have. So I will add my good luck to
you, take care, and am here if you want to chat, all best wishes, Terry.

Interesting - I have an interest in travel as well - but my budget doesn't like it LOL! Tell me about some wonderful places you have been!
Response from Safariman made on 17th Jul 2022 13:46:49 > @KennaLynn
Hi KennaLyn, not sure if your latest comment was aimed at me, but
I think that I am right. So interesting places I have been, where to
start, I first got the travel bug when I joined the Army at 17 my first
posting was to Swaziland in South East Africa, and that gave me
the love of Africa in general. In 2001 I had a heart attack and had to
have a triple by-pass. In 2002, I quit my job and booked an overland
trip on a truck with 25 other people that I had never met, and traveled from Cairo to Cape Town camping along the way, and we
took it in turns to cook for the whole group, we visited all of the
major game parks, in Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe,
Botswana, Namibia and South Africa, have sat in Devils Pool on the
top of Victoria Falls, walked with lions in Zimbabwe, and played
with cheetahs in Namibia. So just a few of the interesting places,
enough for now anyway, will bore you to death if I keep on, so will
stop now, enjoy the rest of your day, and stay cool, all best wishes,
Terry.

wow that is amazing - I would love to see all the big cats in their native habitats - I have a love of lions in general but it is sad to see them here. They only exist in cages here. They are such a beautiful, regal animal.
Response from Safariman made on 18th Jul 2022 10:43:30 > @KennaLynn
Hi KennaLyn, good morning from sunny England, thank you for your
message, yes I have had an interesting life so far, and like you, I love
to see animals in their natural habitat, the lions that I walked with in
the Antilope Park in Zimbabwe, were 9 months old, and were bred
in captivity on a breeding programme to release them back into the
wild at some time. The cheetahs in Namibia, were orphaned as their
mother was shot by farmers, so they were hand reared, and used to
humans, they are my favourite animal after Elephants, I have seen
orphaned Elephants in the Sheldrick orphanage in Nairobi, Kenya,
I even sponsored one little calf for a year as a present for my sister
who loves them even more than me. Well once again, I had better
not bore you, as I tend to go on a bit, am passionate about the wild
and wonderful world we live in, and intend to keep traveling as long
as my body allows, so take care and thank you for listening, all best
wishes, Terry.

Are you Ray or Mason? - Same photo on both?
Response from Carefree Gentleman made on 17th Jul 2022 02:39:42 > @KennaLynn
Hey KL!

I initially placed Ray as that is actually my middle name. Then I decided to place my first name ie Mason. Photo it's me as there is only one

Are you viewing both of my names? If so wonder what I need to do to correct?

Again thank you for reaching out today I'm grateful.

Hoosier
Mason

Yes I do see both names - I'm not sure how you would correct that either. Doesn't really matter I just wondered about it.
Response from Carefree Gentleman made on 17th Jul 2022 23:01:10 > @KennaLynn
Hope today has been good to you.

Well It appears I successfully Inserted Mason in place of Ray! Is it correct as you see it now? I also added my town.

Hey All!

Let's talk about hobbies! Two items are banned - (just kidding - but I always hear about travel and beaches etc., let's talk about something we like to do that is different!)

I also love travel, but that's the same old chat. So - my other hobbies? I play around with photography. Nothing all that great but I enjoy it.

I also make some of my own cosmetics, do some essential oils in the form of cleaning products or for their health benefits. It's a new hobby but I really enjoy it and it has great benefits because I use all natural ingredients - no chemicals.

What do you like to do?

Hi KL

I'm not sure how to message you here..lols.. Perhaps another method up to you please

I traveled to M. Beech a few years ago white sand as I recall. If I may ask what type of work do you do? I worked my entire life in hotel administration. I performed site inspections, services and contract bidding for a shopping center near my two hotels.. was today good for you? Ever traveled to or through Indiana?

Hi KennaLynn
What a clever way of introducing yourself! I’m sure you’ll get lots of replies ( fingers crossed for you)
Me? I like the colour lilac, love animals, especially dogs........there you are I’ve started
Sandra
Response from KennaLynn Original Poster made on 10th Jul 2022 01:24:07
Hi Sandra!

Thank you for responding! Lilac is a lovely color. I also love animals, I used to have a wonderful dog named Haley. She was so awesome and my best friend. Unfortunately I had to give her up due to some unfortunate and unexpected circumstances. It's been 3 years and I still miss her.

I don't know if I will get another dog or not - kind of afraid of going through that loss again.
