My Run to Pegasus

I have just joined, despite being 58 I feel less like a silversurfer that ever.


In June 2019 I am taking part in The Run to Pegasus a 75 mile run to replicate and commemorate the events which took place in the early hours of DDay 75 years ago. We will run from Tarrant Rushton, Dorset to Portsmouth boarding a ferry to complete the challenge in Normandy with a memorial service at Pegasus Bridge and at a bridge 10 miles down where one of the Horsa Gliders landed. This is a challenge I am happy to undertake for The Veterans Charity, having over the past few years running The Forces March 5 marathons in 5 days.

Hi Rob. I know your post is over a year old and I am not sure if you are still on the site, but I saw your post and wanted to know how you got on with your run? I have just joined the site myself and was getting a bit despondent that most of the people on here seem to be older and retired, whereas I am in my mid 50s, still working, but determined to enjoy life and do as much as I can! I started running last year and still very slow but am loving the running community. Anyway hope to hear back from you and how you got on. Debbie
