Newbie looking for like minded members

Hello to all, I am also a newbie to Silversurfers, and a newbie to online forums and chats.


I decided to try this because covid is making it so difficult to get out and about. I am a retired elementary teacher, 63 years of age, living in southern Mississippi. I have lived in England for 11 years from 1982-1993, in Cornwall. While there I did travel the west country and also did a little bit of travelling elsewhere- Liverpool, Manchester. I loved the west country's rugged beauty, I could see the sea from the kitchen window. The only thing I didn't care for was the constant wind.


I spend my time now, babysitting two of my grandchildren, and caring for my bi-polar, depressed husband. I would like to do some more travelling in the future, if possible.

It's not easy caring for someone, is it?. I spent years caring for my parents, both had strokes within months of each other and spent the rest of their lives in a hospital. Thought I was done but then got into a relationship and now my girlfriend of ten years is disabled, depressed, asexual, and has borderline personality disorder. Who cares for us? I'm 58, I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Never been to England but always wanted to visit. Why were you there?
