Rescue animals

Hi, does anyone look after rescue animals?

I am 73 and for 20 years I have run a small animal sanctuary. At its peak there were 37 cats, 4 dogs, 7 rabbits and a flock of 14 hens in my care. Today, I no longer rehome animals and will care for the present residents until the end of their lives.

There are 23 cats, 2 dogs, one hen, one rabbit and a hedgehog. I'd love to hear from anyone who is interested in looking after rescue animals

I think that's womderful Oom...you m,ust have plenty of space for them and how lucky they are to be staying with you for ever now. Have to confess I would be the same...very hard to let them go. I fostered baby kittens for the RSPCA some years ago..bottle feeding until they were old enough to go to new homes...but it was such a wrench then! My babies. I now have two dogs of my own and they are wonderful company - so sensitive to my moods/feelings. I only have to sniff and the older one runs across to check I am ok. They are my best pals. I am looking forward to better weather so can get out with them more. Mostly a mad chase round the garden just now. Caro
