Saying hello from Canada
Watch this postJust joined and thought I should introduce myself. I am a 65 yr old retired woman from Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Looking for a travel companion or even just someone to chat with. I have done some travelling but hoping to do more now that I am retired. I have many varied interests and hobbies. Looking to meet some like minded people. I did notice that most of people on here are from the UK. I was born in the UK but immigrated to Canada many years ago. I have been back to the UK a few times and have another trip planned for next spring. Still learning to navigate this site and find it somewhat confusing.

I'm another Canadian born abroad, though I was born in Northern Ireland and came here in 1963ish. I live a few hours drive east of you on the 401 in the GTA.
Like you, I'm a newbie here.
My niece's husband has family in Windsor.
Still stumbling my way around the website, and came across your posting. I was born in South Africa, with parents from England (Manchester). Came to Canada in 1989 and have lived in Victoria, Vancouver and now Windsor. I hope you are having fun as a "Silversurfer" - I have "wiped out" a few times already as an ex-surfer, and continue to do so now that I am a "silver" one.
Have just joined SilverSurfers and came across your posting while doing an "Ontario" search. I too live in Windsor, am retired and note that I am somewhat late in responding to your posting. I am married but my wife is younger and is the workaholic-type, which leaves me with a lot of free time on my hands. It would be great to discuss travel, interests (mutual and others) with you. I am from an English background, and still keep in touch with some of my ex-navy buddies there, with reunions being held annually - I think the next one is in September.
I am still stumbling my way around this website, so hopefully we will "connect" in the not too distant future.
I also am a newbie. But may I say welcome.
