Searching for humorous signs of life!

I’m a 58-year-old woman hoping beyond hope that there is humorously intelligent life - if not in the vastness of the universe, then in the vastness of the internet.

I know, I know, needle, meet haystack. Be that as it may, I am a font of never-ending hope. I have read some posts on this site with great delight . . . hope, meet Lisa.

Looking forward to the conversations!

Good day Lisa, well I am not sure if you have found the humorously intelligent life in the vastness of this internet universe we are all now part of. But will stop by and say hello as being new here it would be interesting to know if in fact one can find intelligent conversations and life here. If so hope you will share!

Hi lisa63k, hope that you manage to find what you are looking for on this site, I
like to think that a meet the criteria in both categories, still that is up to you to
decide. I am a fair bit older than you at 74, but still have my marbles and sense
of humour. I love to travel and have recently been to Cape Town in S Africa, I
had a good time but the long flight made me a bit tired as I can never sleep
on an aeroplane, so may call it a day for going long haul. I live in a one bedroom
flat in a retirement building in Southampton,, and am always up for a chat if the
age difference does not bother you, so enjoy the rest of your evening, and you
never know, I might get a reply from you, take care, best wishes, Terry.

Hi Terry! How wonderful of you to message me - thank you! The age difference doesn’t bother me at all. Age would only bother me if you were too young - there is no being too old.

Cape Town, how fascinating! You certainly travel to amazing locations. I’m jealous!

I live in Georgia in the U.S. so the time difference may annoy you. I have lived a few places including Iceland and Italy.

So tell me everything about yourself - begin with birth - leave nothing out.

I hope to hear from you soon. Have an amazing day tomorrow and thank you BBC again for responding!!

Good morning Lisa, and thank you for your lovely message, I didn’t know
that you were in the U S of A, so that makes it more interesting to chat to
someone from a slightly different culture. Well as you know, I am 74, born
in 1948 in March, which makes me a Pisces ( not that it matters to me ) I was born in a town called Reading, 42 miles west of London, it was a small
market town when I was born, but now it is very big with a large population, the overflow from London I think. I am single and have never
married so have no children. I am the oldest of 8 and have 4 sisters and
3 brothers, am closest to my sisters, but not in touch much with brothers.
I have been to America only once, I went with the Army to a town in
Colorado, called Colorado Springs, and we were stationed in Fort Carson,
sounds very western ( you can imagine John Wayne living there ).I was only 18 at the time, so can’t imagine what the town looks like today. I love
to travel as I said, and especially love to travel through East and South
Africa.when I retired from work I went on an overland trip on a truck with
28 other people who I had never met before, from Cairo to Cape Town for
18 weeks, visiting 13 countries and going to all the major game parks, so
saw loads of wildlife. Well had better finish off for now, as I have things to
do, so will continue my saga at a later date ( tomorrow ) take care and have
a good day ( or night ) all best wishes, Terry.
