Volunteering Opportunities in Bristol - Avon Wildlife Trust

We currently have some lovely volunteer placements available in the Bristol area: Wildflower Nursery Placement Join the team at Avon Wildlife Trust’s wildflower nursery in Stapleton to gain experience in horticulture and learn about the growing needs of some of our native wildflowers.


Training will be provided but a willingness to learn and work as part of a team essential. Wednesdays 10-4pm, minimum 4 month commitment desired.

Wildlife Gardening and Land Management Placement Help us to manage and develop the demonstration borders and wildlife habitats at Avon Wildlife Trust’s community & learning hub to provide inspiration for others. Gain valuable experience in horticulture and practical habitat creation on this 6 acre site. Training will be provided but a willingness to learn and work as part of a team essential. Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays, 10-4pm, minimum 4 month commitment desired.


My Wild Child placement Avon Wildlife Trust is looking for volunteers to support the delivery of My Wild Child wild play sessions for 2-4 year olds and their families, Thursday and Friday during term time. Wild play sessions are delivered in green spaces around Bristol and will include wildlife conservation activities, mini beast hunts, songs, stories and much more! Volunteers need to be confident, with good communication skills, have a passion for wildlife and conservation and enjoy being outdoors in all weather!
